Radical Innovation 2026 Keynote

20 Years of Radical Impact

For 20 years, Radical Innovation has challenged architects, designers, students, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to rethink what hospitality could be. This year, we are bringing three past winners back to the Radical stage to explore what happened after they won and where innovation takes them next.

The 2026 Radical Innovation Awards Ceremony & Dinner keynote will feature Graeme Labe, Managing Partner & Chief Design Officer of Luxury Frontiers; Caspar Schols, Founder of Cabin ANNA; and Yasmin Soliman, Architect at Cooper Carry. Henri Roelings, Founder & CEO of HospitalityNet, will moderate the conversation.

Each panelist has experienced the impact of Radical Innovation. Their stories span student concepts that evolved into groundbreaking careers, internationally recognized projects, and careers built around challenging convention.

The conversation will look back at the ideas that put them on the Radical stage, explore how those concepts have shaped their careers and continue to influence the future of hospitality design.

Graeme Labe: Pushing the Boundaries of Hospitality

Graeme Labe is a two-time Radical Innovation Professional Project Winner, earning the award in 2020 for Camp Sarika and in 2023 for Turtle Bungalow, in addition to being recognized as a finalist multiple times.

Labe is a visionary designer and innovator in experiential design, and a thought leader in the immersive eco-tourism sector. With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of sustainability and luxury hospitality, Labe has redefined the way travelers engage with the natural world. He leads with a philosophy rooted in biophilic design, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to authenticity.

Caspar Schols: Building a Business from a Bold Idea

Caspar Schols was named the 2017 Radical Innovation Student Project Winner, an experience that marked the beginning of a career rooted in rethinking how humans exist within the natural environment. His winning submission, Cabin ANNA, is a kinetic wooden structure that has garnered international acclaim for its poetic responsiveness to landscape and human experience.

Schols is a Dutch designer, architect, and artist whose installations explore ritual and presence. Schols sees architecture as a medium not for separation from the natural world, but as a means to connect more deeply with it. His designs invite ritual, slowness, and heightened awareness.

He currently leads Studio Caspar Schols, Cabin ANNA, and is co-founder of the Carroccera Collective. The collective's mission is to radically rethink the way we live within the natural landscape.

Yasmin Soliman: Where a Radical Idea Can Lead

Yasmin Soliman's Radical story began shortly after earning her Bachelor of Architecture from Effat University in Saudi Arabia.

She entered Radical Innovation with Adaptive Balloons and was named the 2015 Student Winner, traveling to New York to present her concept in person.

Through Radical's student program, Soliman was introduced to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an Educational Partner of the competition. That connection ultimately led her to pursue her Master of Architecture in Hospitality Design at UNLV.

Today, Soliman is a licensed architect at Cooper Carry, where she continues to build a career grounded in questioning established ideas and approaching design challenges from new perspectives.

Her journey demonstrates an important part of Radical's 20-year mission: not simply recognizing great ideas, but creating opportunities for the people behind them.

Henri Roelings: Looking Toward Hospitality’s Next 20 Years

Henri Roelings will moderate the conversation. As the Founder of our 2026 Media Sponsor, HospitalityNet, and a 2026 Juror in our new Technology category, Roelings brings a unique perspective on the intersection of hospitality and digital innovation. Over the years, he has helped launch projects such as WIWIH, PineappleSearch, and the HOTEL Yearbook. He is a graduate of EHL Hospitality Business School, was inducted into the HFTP HITEC Hall of Fame, and recognized by HSMAI as one of the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing.”

20 Years Behind Us. The Future Ahead.

For two decades, Radical Innovation has provided a stage for ideas that challenge convention and push hospitality forward.

This year's keynote is both a celebration of that legacy and a conversation about what comes next.

Join us on October 22 at the Radical Innovation 20th Anniversary Awards Ceremony & Dinner as we celebrate two decades of bold ideas, the people who brought them to life, and the innovations still to come.
